The license stack

Three tiers, plain English.

Every bundle ships with a license keyed to your order. This page walks through the three tiers — Personal, Small Business, and Studio — with concrete examples of who each one is for, what is allowed under it, and what is not. If you are still unsure after reading, write us.

Personal

Included

with every bundle

Is this you?

A teacher cutting files for one classroom set of holiday door hangers.

What you can do

  • Make finished items for gifts to friends and family
  • Up to 25 finished items per year — at home or for a single classroom
  • Use the file on any personal cutting machine you own

What you cannot do

  • Resell the digital SVG, DXF, or PDF file itself
  • Sell finished items in a shop, even at low volume
  • Share the file with another maker so they can cut too

Small Business

$+19

per bundle

Most picked

Is this you?

An Etsy seller using the same SVG in 100 finished products in a year.

What you can do

  • Up to 500 finished items per year, across one shop
  • Sell finished items on Etsy, Shopify, at craft fairs, or local boutiques
  • Use the design in marketing photos, mockups, and shop listings for that bundle

What you cannot do

  • Resell the digital file as a downloadable on any platform
  • Run more than ONE shop with the same license (multi-shop needs Studio)
  • Embed the file inside a paid digital template or Canva/Canva-like kit

Studio

$+49

per bundle

Is this you?

A studio embedding the design inside a paid client kit.

What you can do

  • Unlimited finished items per year
  • Use inside paid print-on-demand catalogs and wholesale runs
  • Embed the design inside client deliverables — wedding stationer kits, branded packaging, agency mockups
  • Run multiple shops or franchise craft studios under one license

What you cannot do

  • Resell the digital file itself as a standalone download
  • Mass-automated reuse across more than one distinct client without a per-client license
  • Sub-license the file to a third party who then resells or redistributes it

A note on naming: the catalog filter (and some older pages) label the top tier Commercial. That is the same tier as Studio on this page — the rights and price are identical. The PDF license you receive at checkout prints the tier name you picked.

Beyond the file

What comes with the license that’s not in the file.

The license PDF

A printable license bearing a unique key.

Yours to keep on file, show to a co-op, an Etsy rights checker, or a client who wants proof of use rights. The key matches the order, never a generic template.

Tier-upgrade credits

Bump a tier later for the price difference.

Move from Personal to Small Business, or Small Business to Studio, for whichever amount you have not yet paid. No re-buy, no new file.

Re-download window

90 days of re-downloads from your order page.

A wiped laptop or a crashed Etsy should not cost you a license. After 90 days we can still email the original file on request.

Priority support

Real-human email support for the awkward edge cases.

Cricut palette mapping, Glowforge kerf weirdness, Etsy licensing questions, bulk-district quotes — write us and a person answers.
